Digital Creative Media (DCM) has been a growing field in the industry ever since the introduction of digital technology in the creative industry. Through the Bachelor and Professional Bachelor of Digital Creative Media , you can harness latest technologies to create captivating and sophisticated animation and visual effects for films, commercials and  and computer games. Most courses are offered as project-based learning with strong emphasis on the practical components. 

Employment opportunities exist in web development, animation, communications, multi-media design, e-commerce, education, games, media distribution, mobile media technologies, multimedia production to name a few. This will be the ideal programme for you if you are interested in becoming a a website designer animator or a general digital media manager.

AeU offers both the Bachelor and Professional Bachelor in this field. Differences are:

  • Bachelor of DCM is MQA accredited and is longer in duration with the inclusion of MQA compulsory subjects.
  • Professional Bachelor of DCM is ideal for those interested to gain the same level of proficiency within a shorter duration.

Accredited programme by Malaysian Qualifications Agency (MQA) , Ministry of Higher Education.

ENTRY REQUIREMENT

  • For Bachelor of Digital Creative Media:

    • Diploma with at least CGPA 2.00, OR,
    • Matriculation/Preparatory University programmes with at least CGPA 2.00, OR,
    • STPM or its equivalent with a Pass in at least 2 subjects or CGPA 2.00, OR
    • International Baccalaureate with 24 points, OR
    • A Level with at least C grade in 3 subjects, OR,
    • Other qualifications recognised by the AeU Senate AND
    • Pass the interview/drawing test or portfolio for those who do not have Arts Education subject
    • Open Entry Qualifications recognized by the Ministry of Higher Education Malaysia (applicable for part time BDCM only): at least 21 years old and possess PMR or equivalent

    For Professional Bachelor of Digital Creative Media:

    • Diploma with at least CGPA 2.00, OR,
    • Matriculation/Preparatory University programmes with at least CGPA 2.00, OR,
    • SPM/O' Level or its equivalent with 3 years related working experience, OR,
    • A Level with at least C grade in 3 subjects, OR,
    • SKM Level 3 or 4 (Diploma equivalent), OR,
    • Other qualifications recognised by the AeU Senate AND
    • Pass the interview/drawing test or portfolio for those who do not have Arts Education subject
    • Open Entry Qualifications recognized by the Ministry of Higher Education Malaysia : at least 21 years old and possess PMR or equivalent
