1) Program Details

Diploma in Interactive Media provide students towards digital media industry by training them through computer generated art and design, which incorporates design and presentation, 2D imaging design, 2D animation, video and screen, interactive design, 3D model and digital environment, creative collaboration and digital visual effects.

 Students will gain higher understanding of design skills, technical and management which required in order working in the field of interactive design and digital design industry. Students will conduct research on the web and interactive design, 3D and 2D imaging and animation, and development of corporate videos for a company.

2) Entry Requirement

• Pass Sijil Pelajaran Malaysia (SPM) with at least 3 credits or equivalent

OR

• Possess certified Creative Multimedia Certificate (Sijil Multimedia Kreatif) or equivalent OR
• Possess certified Sijil Vokasional dan Teknikal or related or equivalent to 1 year working experience or relevant or 1 semester bridging program

OR

• Possess Sijil Kemahiran Malaysia (SKM) Level 3 and Sijil Pelajaran Malaysia (SPM) with at least 1 credit.

• Exposure to well-recognized competitions such as Short Video Competition (DFKL), Mobile Design and Development, Website Development Competition, Interactive Design and etc.
• Field trips to well-known government organizations and companies including MediaPrima, FINAS, Pinewood Studio, Metrowealth, Moving Walls, Digital Durian, Les’Copaque and etc.

5) Pathway To Further Study

Students are able to enhance their skills using the software such as Audacity, Autodesk Maya, Adobe Illustrator, Adobe Dreamweaver, Adobe Flash, Adobe Photoshop, Adobe Premiere Pro, Adobe After Effects as well as Microsoft software. Thus, they can further their studies in Degree in Multimedia Technology/ Animation/ Motion Graphics and Visual Effects/ Sound Design/ Games Design/ Digital Creative Content/ Digital Film and Television/ Creative Multimedia and other suited programmes offered from other IPTS.
