1) Program Details

An emergency medical technician (EMT) or paramedic responds to a life-or-death situation by going to the scene to care for an injured individual. They attempt to identify the extent of the injury and administer care on the spot, and then transport the patient to a hospital or other health care facilities for further treatment.

2) Entry Requirement

(For Bumiputera/Anak Negeri Sabah & Sarawak/Orang Asli only)

SPM entry:

Pass English and Bahasa Malaysia with a minimum of FIVE (5) credits in the following  

subjects;

Mathematics and 1(ONE) Science subject (Biology, Chemistry, Physics, General Science, Applied Science) and any other THREE (3) subjects (including English and/or Bahasa Malaysia).

Exposed to well recognize competitions such as Hospital Universiti Sains Malaysia, BOMBA, Angkatan Pertahanan Awam Malaysia (APM). Field trips to well-known organizations such as St John Ambulance, MAHAMAS Ambulance.

5) Pathway to Further Study

Qualified Diploma in Paramedical Science holders can apply to pursue for the Post Basic (Professional Certificate) in Emergency & Trauma, Bachelor Degree in Environmental Health or Bachelor Degree in Occupational Safety & Health program at other Institute of Higher Educations.

6) Career Prospect

Paramedic- off Shore, Petronas, Large and establish company, Hospital, Assistant Paramedic, Clinical Instructor for Life Support Program, Civil Defence Officer (APM) and Phlebotomists.
